– Stone Dare/Resonance
The stone in the red circle in the vanguard position is the Stone Dare.
After collecting 6 Buddha’s Eye beads, you can interact with and summon it.
If you don’t kill the vanguard stone first, Stone Dare will come out and take care of the vanguard stone, allowing you to directly obtain the Stone of Severity and other drops.
As for Stone Dare, you can choose to fight or not based on your strength.
For fighting Stone Dare, it is recommended to use an out-of-body technique.
He will consume about one-fifth of his health when fighting the vanguard stone, and with a full out-of-body technique, he can consume over half of his health.
The rest is to immobilize and transform to fight.
Then dodge Stone Dare’s area-of-effect attacks, strike a few times, and slowly wear him down to defeat him relatively easily.
After defeating him, you can obtain Iron Stone Heart materials, as well as Soul Resonance, Linglong Inner Dan, and Demon Cores (by this time, you should be able to forge the Cloud Stick, a useful weapon).
Also important is the Resonance, which is one of the Five Aggregates.
This way, we have the first Resonance by the river in the Grey Wolf Forest, as well as the Resonance of Stone Dare, with more to collect later on.
